CHVRCHES announce new album "Every Open Eye" premiere first single "Leave A Trace”

After a small hiatus CHVRCHES are back! The Scottish synth-pop group have announced the follow up to their amazing 2013 debut album "The Bones Of What You Believe". the new album is titled "Every Open Eye" and comes in a 11 track Standard and 14 track Special edition which are both set to be released on September 25th. The album was yet again completley self produced at the Alucard Studios in Glasgow.

To coincide with the album news a large North American tour is taking place in October followed by a short stop in Europe in November (all dates are at the bottom of the page) We're hoping a UK tour will shortly follow but there is no news on that as yet.

The first song to be unveiled from Every Open Eye is called "Leave A Trace" an epic fist pumping breakup anthem (yes, you read that right!). In a recent feature interview with Pitchfork lead singer Lauren Mayberry described it as;

The nastiest, snidest tune on the record

and when you listen to it you can definitely see why!, any worries about the new album being too similar or not as good as their debut I think can be safely put too rest, I personally can't wait to see what the new album has in store for us.
