JESSIE BUCKLEY TO DEBUT WILD ROSE SOUNDTRACK AT BLACK DEER FESTIVAL 2019

Today marks the release of the hotly anticipated and already critically acclaimed country inspired music film ‘Wild Rose’. So what could be more fitting than the announcement from the also award winning Country & Americana Festival Black Deer that its star Jessie Buckley is set to perform songs from the picture’s soundtrack at this year’s event such as Primal Scream’s ‘Country Girl’ and legendary country artists Emmylou Harris’ ‘Born To Run’. It’ll be the first chance audiences will get to experience Jessie performing the songs live and I couldn’t have thought of a more fitting and picturesque surrounding to experience it in.

Jessie Buckley includes an already stellar line-up for the festivals second edition, also featuring the likes of Perfect Tempo favourites The Staves, the legendary Kris Kristofferson & The Strangers and acclaimed Australian rockers John Butler Trio among many other fantastic names. Not to mention the event being topped off by headliners, the iconic Band Of Horses.

Speaking on Buckley’s addition to the line-up, festival co-founders promoters Gill Tee and Deborah Shilling commented… “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome the wonderful Jessie Buckley to Black Deer Festival. The music and culture this festival celebrates is rooted in authenticity and spirit and Jessie’s powerhouse performance in Wild Rose has this in spades. Country and Americana has never been more relevant and we’re delighted that Wild Rose is shining a light on the amazing singer/songwriters out there. There’s something very real about this music and it needs to be heard.”

Serving as the UK’s ultimate destination for Americana and Country fans, the multi-award winning festival will return to the stunning Eridge Park, set in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, a location only 50 minutes away from London. Meeting industry wide-approval and delighting debut festival goers with a heartfelt sense of community in its first year, Black Deer promises an incomparable lifestyle experience this summer.

Wild Rose is in cinemas now.

Black Deer runs across June 21st to 23rd in Eridge Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
