Lily Moore releases incredible new single
‘Nothing On You’
The brilliant new single comes ahead of Lily Moore’s exciting new project ‘The More Moore Mixtape’ out next month.
We’re always raving about Lily Moore on this site… and for good reason. 2019 has seen Moore release some of her strongest material yet the brilliant ‘Why Don’t You Look At Me’ remains one of my favourite pop singles of the year and the cheeky and vibrant ‘Over You’ showcased Lily’s talent and let her personality shine through.
Now she’s back with ‘Nothing On You’, immediately you get the feeling it’s a slightly different direction for the rising star. The verses slowly build, Moore taking time to emphasize on certain notes and lyrics to push the emotion and story of the song. There’s also the inclusion of layered vocals that juxtaposes both the power and delicacy Moore can achieve with her vocal range and it works to tremendous effect. This means when the song reaches its big crescendo, you’re blown away. It’s a brilliant song and furthermore shows why Lily Moore is making some of the most interesting and enjoyable Pop music around at the moment.
The track itself comes ahead of a new project. The More Moore Mixtape in honour of Lily’s club nights in which she showcases some of her equally talented friends such as Tom Greenan and Mathilda Homer. The club night takes over London’s famous 100 Club next month featuring the likes of Millie Turner and Sam Johnson but unfortunately is Sold Out so you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for future dates which we’re sure to keep you posted on.
Speaking about the project Moore said;
“The mixtape is a collation of songs that I’ve written over the last couple of years, from growing up in Brighton to moving to London and making new friends. I started a club night called ‘More Moore’ at Mau Mau Bar on Portobello
Road to create a West London music vibe with my new mates, so we could jump up on stage, sing each other’s songs and have a beer! This went on to me working in the studio with some of them and there you have the More Moore Mixtape”
There’s some special collaborations teased for the project featuring the likes of Maverick Sabre and Dan Caplen. If ‘Nothing On You’ is any indication of the projects quality then we’re in for a treat and the good news is we haven’t got long left to find out. The More Moore Mixtape releases next month on Friday September 13th.
